All Change Is Local

Belmont’s choices in 2026 will shape our quality of life for decades.

Our city is loved for its neighborhoods, schools, open space, and community. Preserving that quality of life, while building for current and future needs, requires thoughtful planning, strong infrastructure, and experienced leadership.

I am running for City Council as a curious, dedicated leader focused on meeting our evolving needs through clear values, disciplined execution, and a single North Star: a thriving community.

About Sarah

Sarah Minczeski Delisle is a Bay Area native with 20 years of public service, including work supporting the Secretary of Defense and the Chief of Naval Operations, before bringing that experience to the private sector as a clean energy leader.

Her career has consistently focused on sustainability, energy policy, and advancing emerging technologies.

Sarah lives in Belmont with her spouse, their three children, and their dog. She brings experience across government and industry and a practical, inclusive approach to Belmont’s priorities, including public safety, infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, community facilities, and sustainability.

She builds community by breaking bread with neighbors, collaborating on local projects, spending weekends at sporting events, and supporting Belmont’s incredible schools.

Why i’m running

I am running for City Council as a curious, dedicated leader focused on meeting our evolving needs through clear values, disciplined execution, and a single North Star: a thriving community.

Thriving Community

Responsible Action

As a Belmont parent, public policy professional, and longtime leader in government and clean energy, I’ve spent my career helping organizations solve hard problems, manage resources responsibly, and plan for the long term.

I’m running because Belmont needs thoughtful, effective leadership that brings people together and helps our city grow responsibly. My accomplishments in both government and industry lend a unique perspective and will bring results to Belmont.

Experience Matters

Priorities

  • Belmont can continue to welcome new families and investment without losing what makes it special by making it easier to build the right things in the right places. Clear plans, predictable timelines, and infrastructure enables us to keep pace, supporting more housing, better mobility, and public spaces that strengthen quality of life year after year. Responsible growth should reduce friction in everyday life and help the city run smoothly.

  • The goal is straightforward: prepare for climate risks and create impactful greenhouse gas emission reductions. I support solutions that demonstrate leadership in climate action and support the rate of action needed to mitigate the harmful impacts of climate change that the City is already experiencing.

  • Residents deserve a city government that continues to be transparent, measurable, and responsive. I support clear goals, plain-language reporting, and public visibility into timelines and costs where possible so residents can track progress and understand tradeoffs. Accountability is how commitments become outcomes and trust is earned.

  • A thriving community is built on trust, shared spaces, and the ability to solve problems together. My approach is consistent listening, accessible engagement, and partnership with schools, neighborhood groups, small businesses, and community organizations. When it’s easier to participate and easier for good ideas to move from conversation to action, Belmont is stronger.
